Construction
Manager, Large Industrial Owner, key responsibilities are to over-see on
site contactors day to day progress, monitor safety, quality and advise
Head Office of any areas of concern. You must have 10 years+ in Heavy
Civil Earthworks and be able to spend the first year in Calgary planning
the project then be willing to execute the plan on site in Ft. McMurray
until 2015. Experience with multi-million dollar projects in an industrial
setting are required. Salary and benefits available. Expenses, flights and

Estimators,
Large Industrial Mechanical, Civil and Earthworks Contractor, Various
locations and levels of experience and expertise. Determine
the scope of work and define the contractual requirements for the project. �
Solicit
and coordinate sub-trade tenders and supplier quotations for labour,
material and equipment to meet project specifications and budget
requirements. �
Quantify
all aspects of the tender documents using automated estimating processes,
systems and documentation procedures. �
Prepare
detailed project cost estimates and bids for senior management approval. �
Monitor
cost and schedule fluctuations, and make appropriate revisions to cost
estimates. �
Apply
value engineering techniques to improve productivity and lower costs. �
Mentor
and train less experienced estimators on estimating practices. �
Complete
post-bid analysis on unsuccessful bids. � Contribute current cost and productivity information into the company database.
